British Open Waiting for Tiger Woods Entry

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – The British Open Organizers are still waiting the confirmation of the entry from Tiger Woods but expect him to try and become the primary player to win the title three times at St. Andrews on the tournament's 150th anniversary.

Peter Dawson, the Royal and Ancient Club executive told the news conference on Thursday that Woods had not yet shows a confirmation of his entry to the tournament, however, the American normally waits longer before confirming his entry. May 27 is the deadline of the entry.

Tiger Woods come back to competitive golf at the Masters after an elongated layoff following a sex scandal.

Tiger Woods among of the five players to have won the Open twice at St. Andrews. He dominates the last two majors played there, in the year 2000 and 2005. This year tournament will be takes place on July 15-18.
